I always searching anime because the story. What's make me feel happy and mindblowing i always love the characters who have different yet similar voice and its turn out same VA! Until i can fully recognized them in other series lol. But several VA have their only typical voice such like Kamiya Hiroshi, Kaji Yuki, Daisuke Himekawa, Takahashi Rie, and the one who voiced Hitsugaya from Bleach (i forgot her name)

i get what she mean that idolism for VA isbad and she dont wanna her fans line of thinking like that when watching anime or playing game. but bth its quite hard when the VA has charming cute and good voice to hear. Atsumi Tanezaki is one that i been quite long know because from other work with her other alias. for that too also i knownher type ranhe voice really have huge range. but yea its hard to erase that tbh...

personally if the plot & art doesn't hook me I check the VA as the last deciding factor whether I'll watch the anime or not

For some reasons I have a big weakness when it comes to Tanezaki Atsumi. I am just very into her work. She's pretty and all but if we are realistic there are Japanese VAs for whom a big part of their draw is their idol-esque public persona, and that persona isn't really Tanezaki. Yet ever since Ancient Magus' bride I just find myself having that weakness towards her work.

Personally, I always find recognizing the voices of the seiyuu as a bonus in media I listen to. I even appreciate it more if the cast includes a seiyuu who has not had a role in years.

Can't believe I had seen her in so many series already and hadn't noticed it was the same person! I'd say that's mission accomplished for her, but I'm definitely going to pay more attention in the future because I enjoy watching anime for the seiyuu as well as the plot!

For what it's worth, she HAS become one of those seiyuu that draws people in, though. Or rather, she always has been- Anya and Frieren puts her in the mainstream, but us in the eroge/visual novel community has always have a KiriHana Supremacy meme going on because of how often people started out liking one of her characters and then ended up being a fan of her in all of her roles. For me, it's Mitsukasa Ayase. I do think her role as Niimi Sora is more notable, and I hope she reprises her role in the 9-nine- anime adaptation, but I will always have a soft spot for her roles in the Yuzusoft games.

The VAs I like voicing a character will get me to try watching an anime I wouldn't normally be interested in; but if the art and story aren't interesting, I won't keep watching. So, being a fan of a Seiyuu can help me to try new things❤

From 1:55, I know exaxtly what she tries to convey here and it made me see that some VAs may have felt the same way as her.

i got introduced to her via idolmaster (she voices igarashi kyoko and is one of the better singers too) and even from there, she already showed her style and "philosophy" as a voice actress she just turns into her character, not just in her voice and speaking manner, but also her whole personality and character. when she performs as her character during idolmaster concerts, the very shy and dorky atchan will just turn into the cheerful and warm-hearted kyoko

This is a thing that EVERY VA in EVERY language wants to pursue, I think. She's not saying you don't see anime bc of the seiyuu involved, she's telling that she wants you to not see her in the character, but to see the character, to be immerse. That's why she says she'll be find without her name in the credits, because that way it'll be more difficult to you to hear 'her', to be 'aware' of reality. I think this is an universal thing in this industry (I'm a VA myself and in my country almost every big VA thinks exactly that xD) The idolization of seiyuu made that 'magic' to be more difficult, but I think even if we are aware, we enjoy it and we 'see' the character, tho. I at least can do it hahaha

For me, I discover a good VA because of an anime plot that I gravitate to, or I discover a hidden gem of an anime because I watched it for my favorite Seiyuu. It goes both ways. ❤ So I think watching an anime because of your favorite Seiyuu is not a bad thing. It helps you discover an anime that is not on your radar but is promising and good, and then you become a fan of that anime and manga.

The VAs was the deciding factor on which to watch, but the the story and its character were the one that made me keep watching it 🙌

Nah, i watch for the VAs, don't care about the anime. Most of the time i would keep skipping 10 seconds until my favorite VAs parts are done and continues to skip again. Same with JRPG like Xenoblade 3 hero quest, I don't skip cutscenes involving my favorites VAs Ethel (Tanezaki Atsumi) Asheera (Ichimichi Mao/M.A.O.) Alexandria (Koshimizu Ami) then, i skip the hell out of it. Same with Bayonetta buy and play for Tanaka Atsuko, rest in peace and Sawashiro Miyuki. And many other games that i bought because of Sawashiro Miyuki is in it.

Tanezaki Atsumi greatly surprised me with her role as Frieren AND Anya! I truly had no idea it was her! I've been a fan of hers through Mahoutsukai no Yome and her lead role as Chise, but never fully looked into her voice history. I'm very curious to hear about her thoughts on this subject and can't wait for this video to go live! (´-ω-｀)
